Beautifully restored, vintage door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. It’s made of solid pine and features an arrangement of 15 true-divided, wavy glass lites. The door is also fully equipped with hardware.

Restoration: At the point of salvage, the door was found with original finish, 4 broken lites, 1 deadbolt hole, some broken molding, nail holes, a chipped upper corner, and equipped only with hinges and a mortise lock. Since then, we’ve stripped the finish and sanded the door; we replaced the 4 broken lites; made molding to replace the broken pieces; patched the nail holes, the deadbolt hole, and the upper corner; and added knobs and escutcheons.

Please note that the glass used to replace the lites were custom cut from antique windows we salvaged from around our area. All of the patches were made from antique pine, and only looks new because the pieces were cut from deeper portions of the wood. If you stain the door darkly the patches would not stand out, and if you paint the door the patches would be invisible.

Hardware: The door was found with 3 brass plated steel, ball tip hinges and a mortise lock. We added a fully restored pair of Arts & Crafts style, brass knobs and escutcheons.

When we found the door, the lock was inoperable. Since then, we’ve thoroughly cleaned it, and repaired it to function smoothly. We also made a key for it. If you would like more, look below under “Additional Services” for more details.

Condition:The door is sturdy and in great shape. We fixed all of the flaws, so there’s nothing left to do but finish and install. *Once installed, the door would swing inwardly towards the right. If you would like the swing changed, look below under “Additional Services” for more details.

Additional Services:
1) Framing: We could make a pine frame for the door for $100. With the door arriving pre-hung, all you would have to do is install it. If you would prefer a frame made of red oak or another hardwood, we could do it, but the cost would increase by about $90.

2) Swing Change: We could make the door swing to the left for $30.

3) Keys: We could make more keys to operate the mortise lock for a charge of $3/key.

Northeastern PA, Central & Northern NJ, NY, & New England: We are doing deliveries early to mid November. If you are not too far from our route, home delivery would only be $100.

Southern Mid-west & Western U.S.: We are doing deliveries either January or February 2009. If you are not too far from our route, home delivery would only be $350.
