This painting is on a pre-stretched gallery wrap staple-free sides canvas that is 1.5" deep (ready to hang). I have transitioned all my paintings to this thickness, because the quality and the look of a deeper box canvas on a wall is incomparable to the regular ones. Framing this painting would be a detriment to it and would completely take away from the modern look of the boxy depth.

My Philosophy

You wont find an intellectual "artsy" sounding artist statement here. I paint because I love to create nice things, things that you can hang on your wall and be proud that its there, not because it's from ME, but because I created something unique to you that makes a bold statement and completes the look of your room and you know no one in this universe has a piece that is exactly the same as this one.

I spend a lot of time on each painting, usually at least 48 hours, and will not list it for sale until it is just right, so you can be assured that I didn't just throw a bunch of paint on a canvas and called it modern abstract art. This is why I don't usually have 100 listings at a time. By the time I am done with a piece, I'm so attached to it that I almost don't want to put it up for sale, but then i remind myself that my own walls are running out of room :) Thanks for checking out my art!

Some facts about myself:

-I was born in Ukraine in 1980, and came to the US with my parents in 1989

-We lived in Italy for about 1 year before coming here, I still think its the most beautiful place on earth-but of course it's a very subjective opinion. I do think everyone should go there at least once in their life.

-My art is collected internationally.

-I am a self taught, self-representing artist living in a quite town in PA with a tranquil setting and a huge mountain view in my backyard. I have 3 dogs and my biggest dream at the moment is to help raise enough to build a no-kill shelter in my area. I am currently working on some paintings so please keep a look out for some listings where the full ending bid will go to that cause
