Condition: Thanks for Looking! This is a SMTS Models 1/43 scale white metal model (made in England) Type 46/47 Lotus Europa S1/S2 factory finished in the unusual authentic color called Bermuda Yellow - very close to a butterscotch color. The reason for listing this model as a S1/S2 is because it was produced with the S1 tail lights and the S2 front turn signals on the nose, chrome door handles, and lettering, badging on rear deck lid. Detailing work performed: Headlight lenses custom made and front/rear lights given a real lens appearance and detailed. Some interior detailing including reflective 'mirror' surface installed on inside rear view mirror and drilling out the lightening holes in steering wheel spokes - I can't believe I actually did that...... Rear engine cover air exchangers opened up and micro-screened. Exhaust tip drilled out. Proper trim/brightwork polished - not foiled. Photos taken before rear licence plate applied. Wheels detailed. Base states type 47 (S2). In a 'senior moment', I was concerned about how I was going to straighten the curvature of the upper front part of side windows until my memory clicked in - they were supposed to be that way! This detailed model has a small 'plate' affixed to the base identifying it as done by Toycardave. These are some of the detailing touches performed on this model by me. I received this model without it's original box. I've worked out a packing system that will keep this and future detailed models safe and secure during shipping process and can assure you it will reach your home exactly as it left mine. Even so, in case it loses it's way, I will need to have package insured for winning bid amount to protect both of us. A 1/43 scale display unit is included. This is a case of where the photos are ok but it does look better in person. This is one of one as it is the only SMTS Europa I will be doing. I'm sorry but I do not do special request builds but there are excellent modelers out there that do. Winning bidder will be pleased..... Thanks for taking the time to read through all this! I use the words 'As New' and 'Near New' in my auctions because I am of the opinion that 'Mint' means perfect. Factory produced models are seldom, if ever, perfect. I also think that 'Rare' means few produced and very few available. It appears that both terms are very open to interpretation on eBay! (smile)

USPS Priority Mail International (4 - 10 days delivery, and can be tracked and insured) is available for all international shipments and includes indemnity amount according to weight - generally between $60 - $70. US Insurance: Insurance is available at cost. Cost is $1.70 for up to $50.00 coverage for US packages; over $50 value increases insurance cost. When buying a relatively low dollar item from a reputable seller, spending the extra money on insurance is, in my opinion, unnecessary. Delivery confirmation is automatically included in my shipping cost for Priority Mail and First Class domestic packages.
