About our business

Stained Glass Heirlooms is owned and operated by Phil and Brenda Petersen and was established in 1998.  We are a professional full-service and full-time art glass studio.

Our glass art pieces are of the highest quality and are clearly elegant. The craftsmanship is absolutely exceptional. We want your purchase to be handed down to your next generation and theirs. We take pride in our artwork. As they say "A picture speaks a 1000 words!"

You’re not a number with us.  You are a real person with a name and life and we value you.  We do business as business should be done and as it was in the past with honesty, integrity and truthfulness.

 

What we offer above other artist

•           We select our glass by hand, directly from the wholesale warehouse to ensure good quality and a consistent grade.

•            Design from your photographs, objects, drawings, paintings, ideas.  Anything you can think of just about. 

•       We can make any size and or shape you desire.

•       Our soldering and leading is professionally done. We take the time to make sure your window is re-enforced properly to ensure a window that will last 100's of years with proper care.

•       You will receive a Certificate of Authenticity with a colored photo on the certificate of the art work with your original window.  Signed and numbered by the artist to authenticate the certificate.

•        Original invoice for insurance purposes will be enclosed in the item.

•        We send you updates on the progress via email.

•        We send the “How to care for you window” instructions via email. 

•       We produce our art work in the USA and not over-seas so you are getting quality craftsmanship. 

•       We will send the tracking numbers via email the day the art work is shipped.

•       Most of our windows come with a custom wooden crate that is built once the window is completed.  The crate has a handle(s) for carrying on it and is fully lined.  It can be used to transport the window, for storing in case you need to take it down for the holidays or moving etc.

•       We offer a custom wood framing service on our art work only.

 
Pricing of the art work

 Pricing is calculated based on square footage, intricacy and types/colors of glass used.  Our minimum for very simple work is $70 sq ft. and up for complex intricate work.

 Custom wooden crating is based on size of the art work.

 We can always accommodate your needs, budget and design.  There isn’t anything we can’t produce.  So the sky is the limit and the options are available for you.

 
Payment for art work

 We require a deposit for a design to be drawn which is non-refundable $100 if item is less then $100 we require 35%.  Once the pattern is approved we will require the balance for the window and crate minus the design deposit to be paid in full.  The shipping/insurance and tracking are billed once the crate is returned to us and the item is ready to be shipped.
