PAIR- c.1940 Gilbert Rohde - Herman Miller DRESSERS
42" High x 36" Wide x 17" Deep
Two- #4265, Five Drawer Chests
Designed by Gilbert Rohde and Manufactured by Herman Miller.
They were originally ordered as a set, and manufactured at the same time.
The secondary wood is oak, and I believe the veneer is walnut.
Both are in nice solid condition. The drawers still operate beautifully.
There are some surface mars, veneer damage at the edges, and several poorly matched veneer repairs.
Condition shows well in the photos.
Arrows below indicate flaws on three of the drawers- one with a badly matched repair,
and the others with a splinter of missing veneer at the bottom edges.
Both are numbered 4265 and one retains it's original Miller-Rohde metal label.
