The first printing of F.H. Burnett's "The Secret Garden" published by Frederick Stokes in 1911. With "August, 1911" on the copyright page as called for, full color plates and pictoral of a young girl in a red coat with the key. With illustrations by Kirk. Surface scratches to front board, indention on reverse. The spine cloth is rubbed at the ends, rear endpaper starting. Clean text, with no owner's names or any underlining in the text.
