Many members use third-party solutions and services to perform key functions in their listings. eBay allows discrete identification or ’credit‘ for third parties that provide services or products directly connected with the particular listing as long as they meet specific requirements outlined below.
To acknowledge or credit the company offering the product or service, the credit may contain the following (only one may be clickable):
No more than 10 words of text (HTML font size 3)
Additional requirements for third-party credits include:
The credit may not contain promotional material about additional services or other information about the company. Instead, it should simply identify the service provided by the company.
The credit may link only to the third-party company's Web page containing information about the eBay service.
The service being credited should only be one that the seller is using within that particular listing.
If an image hosting service is used, sellers may display a credit for the image hosting service provider (as long as the credit adheres to the above guidelines).
Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:
Limits on account privileges
Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
Loss of PowerSeller status
Note: If a seller is concerned that the company providing listing services may not be in compliance, please contact the company or service provider.
"Image hosting services provided by company XYZ." in a listing description is permitted.
Providing credit for services not used in the particular listing is not permitted. For example, if company X provided only image hosting services in a seller’s listing, the seller would not be permitted to add, "Counter services and image hosting provided by company XYZ."

The logo size may be no greater than 88x33 pixels, including backgrounds and borders, and it may not flash or otherwise move. The text may contain no more than 10 words, and may be no larger than HTML font size 3. Examples of the text portion of a credit permitted within a view item page:
“eBay's most successful sellers use Marketworks sales management services!”
“Affordable auction management solutions @ SpareDollar”
The use of counters or picture hosting services must comply with these guidelines.. If the counter or picture(s) itself contains a credit to the company offering the service, it must conform to eBay’s Third-Party Acknowledgements, Credits and Links guidelines. If the counter or picture(s) itself does not contain a credit to the company offering the service, there are no size restrictions. However, a logo or text used outside of the counter or picture(s) to credit the service that provided it must conform to eBay’s Third-Party Acknowledgements, Credits and Links guidelines.
Why does eBay have this policy?
eBay recognizes that many sellers use third-party services to perform essential functions related to their listing, and that there are legitimate reasons for crediting such companies in their listings. This policy ensures sellers are able to give credit to services that have enabled members to be more successful selling on eBay.
