Where are the category links and theme pages?
The home page of the original eBay Motors includes a list of the top categories for each section of the site, and a list of popular theme pages. To make these handy links more accessible, they have been moved to the header, where you can now use them from anywhere on eBay Motors. Just hover over the section you're interested in, and the list of top categories and theme pages will appear.

How do I search for a specific vehicle, part, or accessory?

If your search is relatively simple (such as a certain make, model, and year of a vehicle or a specific part), you can just enter the appropriate keywords in the search field on the home page. For example, if you're looking for a 2006 Honda Civic, use that as your search and click on "Cars & Trucks" to see the matching vehicles.
If your search is more specific (such as condition, mileage, color, and more), click the search option links on the left to refine your search. For example, if you're looking for a 2006 Honda Civic with less than 50,000 miles, click the "Less than 50,000 miles" link under "Mileage".

How can I change my search options?

When searching for vehicles or parts and accessories, click the links that appear to the left of the search results to help refine your search. The options you have chosen will then appear in gray boxes at the top of the page and your search results will be updated to reflect the change.
Click the "More choices" link if you want to add several search options at once. The "More choices" menu will appear and you can select multiple search options at once. Be careful not to be too specific, or you could end up without any matching search results.
To change the values for a search option you've already applied, just click on the gray search option box to get a list of available options. Select the options you'd like, and click "Update" to update your search.
To remove search options, click the "X" in the upper right-hand corner of the gray box. The box will close and your search results will be updated to reflect the change.

How can I find out what vehicles have sold for on eBay Motors?

Click the Price Research tab on any vehicle's make/model product page, or the Research link next to the page title of a vehicle listing to find price research information for that vehicle, which includes a summary of recently sold vehicles, vehicles that are currently for sale, and third-party price research information.
Or, from any search page, click the "See Completed Listings" link to see the matching listings that have recently ended.

How do I search for vehicles and parts in my area?

- For cars and trucks, use the "Vehicles in your area" box located above the search results. Enter your ZIP Code, select a distance, and click the "Show Vehicles" button. Vehicles near you will appear sorted by distance, with the distance highlighted in yellow.
- For parts and accessories, motorcycles, and other vehicles, click the "More choices" or "See all" links to the left of the search results and select the Location search option on the More Choices menu. This will narrow the search results to show listings near you.
- If you want to see all nationwide listings sorted by distance, select the "Distance: nearest first" option from "Sort by" drop-down menu. If we don't already have your ZIP Code, you'll be asked to enter it.

How can I narrow my search by price, condition, listing format and other advanced filters?

Click the "More choices" or "See all" links to get to the More Choices menu. Select the filter you would like to apply from the list on the left. Price, condition, seller and "for sale by" each have their own link. Or click on Buying Options to see listing format, description search, completed search, PayPal, free shipping and more advanced filters.

How does "Narrow this search" work?

Use the "Narrow this search" box to the left of the search results to refine your results and make it easier for you to find exactly what you're looking for. For example, if you are searching for Jeep Wranglers and you only want red Wranglers to appear in the list of results, enter "red" in the Narrow your search field and click the Go button. The list will automatically filter out any Wranglers that are not red.

How can I sort my search results?

At the top-right of search results is a "Sort by" drop-down menu. Use this menu to sort your search results by Time (when the listing is ending), Price, Distance (listings closest to your ZIP Code will appear first), Year, or Mileage.

Where can I find Advanced Search?

Click the "Advanced Search" link next to the Search button in the eBay Motors header.

How do I search both the title and description?

In addition to searching listing titles, the new eBay Motors also searches the category in which the vehicle or part has been listed and the item specifics that the seller provides. To expand your search to include the full seller's description as well, you can select the "Search Title and Description" checkbox either from the Advanced Search page, or by clicking on the Buying Options search option.

How do I save my searches?

Click the "Save Vehicle" button on a vehicle's product page to save your search. On all other search pages, click the "Add to Favorite Searches" link above the search results.

Why don't some of my saved Favorite Searches work?

Because of a difference in search options between the new eBay Motors and the original eBay Motors, some of your saved Favorite Searches may not work. We are working on converting the old saved searches to the new format so they will work.
In the meantime, you can resave your searches by clicking the "Save Vehicle" button on a vehicle's product page or clicking the "Add to Favorite Searches" link on any search results page.

What is Best Offer and how do I use it?

Best offer is a listing format that allows buyers and sellers to negotiate a price for a vehicle. The seller can accept, decline, or counteroffer a Best Offer. Unlike an auction, where the highest bid is guaranteed to win, with Best Offer it's up to the seller whether or not an offer will be accepted. When an offer is accepted by a seller, the listing ends and the buyer is obligated to pay.
If you see the Make Offer button in the listing, the seller has decided to consider Best Offers. Buyers can submit multiple offers, but we recommend that buyers only submit serious and realistic offers for vehicles.
