The American Philatelic Expertizing Service (APEX) offers opinions on the genuineness of philatelic material at moderate cost. APEX utilizes the services of more than 140 specialists and high-tech equipment.

Why Expertize?

  • to avoid financial loss and disappointment
  • it is easier to sell an item that has a certificate attesting to its genuineness.

The alteration and repair of genuine items to increase their value has been spurred by the unabated demand for high-quality material. The desire for perfection has led to extensive repairing and regumming of the classic issues of all countries.

The failure to obtain some type of warranty on the genuineness of items all too often leads to financial loss and resentment.
